Just about to take up a three year post as Research Fellow on an NIHR funded project looking at the contracting of NHS General Dental Services and aiming to identify the factors that enable and inhibit this process. As people are finding it increasingly difficult to access NHS dentistry this is a timely project. We will be starting by carrying out a systematic review of the literature on contracting in the public sector and going on to carry out interviews, focus groups and case studies.
